Halo 5: Guardians Arena Mode Gameplay Footage Is Insane

That speed, though.

Halo 5: Guardians was obviously going to be shown off at Microsoft’s Gamescom presser this year, and true enough, we got to see it. The focus of this showing was the Arena mode, as well as the eSports focus that Microsoft and 343 Industries seem to be going for with this installment.

Put simply, Arena mode looks insane. it’s fast paced, the map design encourages skill, and speaking of skill it seems like the skill ceiling on this game will be absolutely staggeringly high. This is not a return to the Halo 2/Halo 3 style of gameplay that many have wanted. It is not a continuation of Halo 4, either. It is something else, and that something else looks absolutely great- a new style of Halo, unlike anything the series has attempted yet.

Halo 5: Guardians will launch on Xbox One exclusively this October. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage on the game, as well as from Gamescom.
