We’re just a couple of days away from finally seeing the release of Halo 5: Guardians and as we draw closer to the title being on store shelves, 343 Industries is doing a bit of a victory lap. The company recently placed a post on its official website where it laid out the journey the company has taken to get to this point. The company made it clear that it is not resting on its laurels as it approaches release day. In fact, things are quite hectic, according to 343.

“Halo 5: Guardians is the biggest and our most ambitious Halo title to date,” the company recently wrote and early previews seem to indicate that the finished product has made all the work worth it. Bonnie Ross has recently come front and center as we get closer to the release, after largely being in the shadows while the game was under development. She was the author of the post expressing how excited the team is with this particular project.

“As I sat in our studio meeting yesterday, with my now empty champagne cup, listening to Josh reflect on his team and the game they’ve built; and Frank talk about his franchise team, the story they weaved, the toys, HCS esports, the community; and Kiki talk about the Halo Channel and Waypoint integration with Halo 5, our new Spartan Companies feature, and the new animated feature for The Fall of Reach; I found myself getting a little teary” One can certainly forgive Ross for being rather emotional. She has been anointed as the person who could save the Xbox One and this game, when it launches will be a big lynchpin in the console’s strategy moving forward. Halo 5: Guardians finally launches exclusively for the Xbox One on October 27, 2015
