The newest update for 343 Industries’ Halo 5: Guardians is finally live and it brings the first free map pack to multiplayer. That’s not all of course – multiplayer will also be receiving the hotly anticipated Big Team Battle, an 8 vs. 8 mode that focuses purely on team warfare.

The new maps include Deadlock, Basin, Guillotine and Recurve, and they’ve all been built for Big Team Battle. Along with new maps, 343 Industries has added a bunch of new REQ content. You can look forward to 48 new REQ cards including armour sets, emblems, weapons, weapon skins and a new assassination animation. It should be noted that the REQ content will be available in 24 hours or less for multiplayer so don’t be surprised if it doesn’t show up right away.

There’s lots more by of free maps on the way for Halo 5: Guardians and December will also be bringing Forge Mode to fans. What are your thoughts on the experience thus far? Let us know in the comments below.
