Halo 5 Forge mode

343 Industries has released some new information on Halo 5: Guardians’s Forge mode. Forge has always been a popular tool in the series (though the Halo 4 version was heavily criticized) for its ability to customize and tinker around with maps. A new video has been released to offer some more information on the mode and it will be out in December, with several free updates to be introduced afterwards based on feedback from fans.

“For Halo 5: Guardians, we knew we wanted to take a giant leap forward with Forge. The creativity of the Forge community knows no bounds and our goal was to give them more power and control than ever before. We wanted to remove as many constraints as possible so they can create high quality maps that rival the ones that we are shipping with the game.

“Halo 5’s Forge is the biggest evolution of the feature since the original was released with Halo 3. Rather than just tack a handful of new features on top of what’s already there, it was important to examine every nook and cranny to make sure even the foundations for building with Forge were up to snuff.”

Forge will let you modify any Arena or Breakout map along with playing around with three large maps created specifically for the mode. Halo 5: Guardians is out on October 27th for Xbox One.
