Halo: Campaign Evolved is available worldwide next week, but if you pre-ordered the Premium Edition, you can start playing on July 23rd. In a new Steam post, Halo Studios has confirmed that the remake will become available at 8 AM PDT.
Unfortunately, there’s no mention of pre-loading, likely to avoid any major leaks that may occur as a result. Standard Edition owners won’t have that luxury either and can start playing on July 28th at the same time. If you’re keen on cross-progression and crossplay, a Microsoft account is necessary. Xbox players can log in with their Gamertag and link their Steam and Microsoft account for existing friends lists.
And as distant a dream as it may have been, there won’t be any official modding tools or support, though Halo Studios hasn’t placed anything to stop players from trying. Just be aware that it won’t allow monetised mods, access to premium or unreleased content, a “substantial part of our copyrightable code or content,” and so on.

While there are currently no plans for post-launch support, including fan-favorite modes like Firefight, rumors indicate that Halo Studios may be exploring DLC ideas.
