Halo Infinite Will Have RPG Elements, Provide Players With Choices – Rumor

Sounds like Halo may get a God of War-style reimagining.

Microsoft’s previously announced Halo Infinite may be a launch title for Xbox Scarlett, which is big news for what to expect from it in and of itself. However, according to a rumor shared by Thurott, we can also expect the upcoming game to be a departure from previous titles in the series in other ways.

In the same rumor that breaks the news about Xbox Scarlett, Thurott mentions that Halo Infinite will have RPG elements (something that, to be fair, has previously been rumored as well), and that the game will allow players to make their own decisions, and have the story respond to the decisions made by the players. Basically, in this case, Halo Infinite ends up becoming an RPG set in the Halo universe, which could be a good or a bad thing—at least until 343 Industries actually shows us more of the game and tries to sell us on its vision.

For now, file this away under rumors.
