Halo PR Manager: “Rest Assured” That Next Journey Begins in 2014

Gameplay trailer arriving in the coming months?

Halo made a brief appearance at last year’s E3 with a short, CG teaser. Interestingly, there’s been nothing but rumours in the past few months since with several sources stating that it would eventually be named Halo 5 and release in 2015.

However, senior PR Manager for Halo and Forza Motorsport Rob Semsey tweeted recently that, “Rest assured your next Halo journey WILL begin in 2014. #staycalm”

Now, this can be interpreted in many ways. Does it mean Halo on Xbox One will release this year? Does it mean we’ll get a demo first? Maybe a gameplay trailer is due soon, say at E3 2014, with more announcements about a release date shortly after?

Either way, Semsey wanted some news to get out there quick and not have forums such as NeoGAF to “freak out about Halo’s omission”. Regardless, it doesn’t seem that Halo 5/Halo Xbox One will be releasing any sooner than 2015. What are your thoughts on the same? Let us know below.
