343 Industries’ newest update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection is now available. It marks a very significant upgrade to the game’s matchmaking capabilities and has been in the works for more than a month now.
According to the developer, the update helps improve matchmaking search times and performance along with overall stability throughout all the games. It also improves party stability which means you can now back out of games and have your entire party follow you. Other improvements include shot registration in multiplayer for Halo 2, stability surrounding matchmaking and custom games and some campaign stability issues. That annoying bug in Halo: Combat Evolved which saw aim assist move the reticle away from enemies has been fixed.
Time will tell how well this update works especially given the failure of previous updates but for now, the community response seems to be good. Members of Reddit’s Halo community are reporting quicker matchmaking times and stability overall. Let us know what you think of the update below and stay tuned for more information.
