To make up for the various issues at launch, 343 Industries and Microsoft have announced that Halo: The Master Chief Collection owners will receive a one month extension to their Xbox Live Gold subscription. This offer will be valid to owners who played before December 19th. A message will arrive via Live to confirm the one month extension.

There will be more in the coming months though. Halo 3: ODST’s campaign will be coming soon for free – following the addition of multiplayer maps and even Halo 4’s Spartan Ops campaign. 343 Industries has also worked to add in various new playlists including Team Hardcore.

Some issues still persist with the matchmaking and a new patch, announced for later this week, will arrive to improve it further. The experience is definitely smoother now as compared to when The Master Chief Collection first launched.

What are your thoughts on the online experience thus far? Is it better than before? Let us know in the comments.
