343 Industries is still working feverishly to fix the matchmaking issues that plague Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Despite some improvements after launch, there are plenty of problems that multiplayer fans continue to face.

The developer promised a new update and a closed beta test to see how it panned out. However, not only has the update been delayed but 343 Industries is now evaluating “the timing and need” for it all.

“As this update contains the biggest changes to the Matchmaking system yet, we’ve identified that additional time and testing is required. We are currently evaluating both timing and need for a CU beta with the Xbox One Preview program, as well as the final public release date in February.”

What are your thoughts on this delay as well as the ambiguity of the closed beta for the update? How has your experience been with Halo: The Master Chief Collection since launch? As always, let us know in the comments.
