For all mixing of real time strategy, action and the beloved Halo universe, it’s easy to forget that Halo Wars actually has a very compelling story to it. The first game took place after Contact Harvest and it seems the focus on story will continue in Halo Wars 2.
In a new vidoc, we learn about the previous game’s heroes and how they return to the fighting despite being left in space for three decades. They’ll have their hands full dealing with a new faction in the form of the Banished.
Halo Wars 2 is developed by The Creative Assembly along with 343 Industries. It was scheduled to release this Fall but has been delayed to February 21st 2017 for Xbox One and Windows 10. It will support the upcoming Xbox Play Anywhere feature which means a digital copy purchased on Xbox One nets you a free Windows 10 copy along with cross save capability.
