Harmonix are the guys known for their games such as Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and Dance Central, but they got their start way back on the PlayStation 2 with a music game called Amplitude. Now, it looks like this talented, music game centric company is trying to return to its roots, as it just launched a Kickstarter for an Amplitude ‘reboot’ for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

We want to update this cult classic and bring it to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system,” says the Kickstarter page. “The Amplitude reboot will feature fresh visuals in high definition, new music, and more! In order to bring Amplitude to modern consoles, we need your help,” they say, promising more information in the coming days.

Apart from Amplitude, Harmonix have also been teasing a secret Rock Band revival, and we do know they are working on Disney’s Fantasia for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. We should learn more about their projects at E3 this year.
