Heihachi Mishima and Toro the Sony Cat Join PS All Stars Battle Royale

Posted By | On 08th, Jul. 2012

Sony hopped aboard the character cross-over band-wagon with their new Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, scheduled for release on the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita. In the wake of EVO 2012, two new characters have recently been announced: Tekken’s Heihaci Mishima and Together Anywhere!’s Toro Inoue.

On Heihachi, the Playstation Blog stated that:

Hailing from the ever-popular Tekken series, he excels at close-range combat, overwhelming opponents with quick, powerful strikes. Heihachi’s combo potential ranks among the best in the roster, turning every encounter into a stylish martial arts exhibition!

Whereas Toro has a more special purpose:

Toro Inoue, also known as the Sony Cat, has been a faithful mascot to Sony in Japan for over a decade! He transitions seamlessly from a close-range fighter in his Justice form, to a ranged specialist in his Torobi form, to an effective wide-area controller in his Oni form.

Developed by SuperBot Entertainment and SCE Santa Monica, they’ll be joining the likes of Sly Cooper, Kratos, Nathan Drake and even Bioshock’s Big Daddy come October.
