Rogue Factor’s Hell is Us, an action-adventure title with zero hand-holding has gone gold. Published by Nacon, it launches on September 4th for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. According to the developer on Steam, this is the culmination of “years of work, countless creative decisions, and a lot of passion poured into the game…”
While the final version is locked ahead of release, the team still has “surprises” to reveal in the interim. The announcement of post-launch content? A new demo available for a longer period? Time will tell, so stay tuned for updates.
Hell is Us follows Rémi, a UN peacekeeper who returns to the conflict-ridden Hadea in search of his parents. On top of wandering the countryside and gathering clues, oftentimes from other NPCs, he must contend with the Hollow Walkers. Though it’s not a Souls-like, players can choose from three difficulty presets and activate a “death penalty,” causing dead enemies and XP to reset after dying.
It’s not clear how this works, so perhaps Rogue Factor will dive into more details before launch. In the meantime, check out the system requirements.
