Metal Gear Survive

Konami finally unveiled gameplay footage for Metal Gear Survive during the Tokyo Game Show and the consensus is still overwhelming negativity (as far as YouTube dislikes goes). What does series creator Hideo Kojima think about it all though?

Both Kojima and artist Yoji Shinkawa shared their thoughts through the official Kojima Productions Twitter account. Kojima was asked by a fan as to whether Metal Gear Survive was originally an idea of his.

“That is incorrect. I’m not involved at all, and I don’t know anything about it. Personally speaking, Metal Gear Solid is espionage to me, political fiction. I don’t think zombies would appear in such a world.”

Shinkawa was more humorous in his response, noting that, “I never heard anything about that from [Kojima]. Personally, I consider Metal [Gears] to be bipedal weapons. I wonder if they’ll appear. A Metal Gear without a Metal [Gear]? That’s the Famicom version lol.”

Metal Gear Survive is out next year for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Love it? Hate it? Let us know below.

Thanks, Siliconera.
