Hitman 3_02

This is a pretty big and exciting announcement. IO Interactive confirmed during the recent State of Play episode that Hitman 3 will be entirely playable in VR on PS4 and PS5 via PlayStation VR. Considering the fact that the game will also include all previous Hitman 1 and locations and levels, that means the entire trilogy will now be playable in VR.

An announcement trailer for the same was also shown off. It was a pretty brief one showing some glimpses of what looks like the game’s Dubai level here and there. Based on some brief glimpses shown in the trailer, it looks like the game will be first person when being played in VR, but that and other details – such as how movement will be handled – remains to be seen.

It’s also unknown for now if this will be exclusive to PlayStation, or it Hitman 3 will also support VR on PC. Either way, stay tuned, and we’ll keep you updated.

Hitman 3 is out for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC in January 2021.
