Hitman 3

Agent 47 once again sneaked up on us when it was revealed that Hitman 3 would kick off 2021. The reboot trilogy of the series has proven to be quite the successful reinvention, and for the third go around, it seems we can expect a much darker version of the assassin.

Today, developer IO Interactive did a live stream for the game. By and large, it was mostly footage and information we’ve already seen and known, respectively. But Community Manager Travis Barbour did point out that this game will be a “more mature, serious, darker” take than the previous two titles. He said that is why in most of the promotional material released so far (like the header image in this article, for instance), 47 is shrouded in black. The first game he was mostly against white, with the second a more pink-red hue. He did also say that didn’t mean the game would be without any humor at all, just that it would be of a darker shade. You can see the full video here.

Hitman 3 will release for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox On,e and PC in January 2021.
