Hitman

Hitman will not require an always active internet connection to be played, after all- Square Enix has cleared the air regarding this issue, confirming to VideoGamer.com that the final game can be played offline without any issues- however, with that said, the upcoming beta, which is exclusive to the PlayStation 4, will need an internet connection to be played.

“Yes you can play the full game offline after you have downloaded an episode,” Square Enix said, “but there are live elements which you will need to access online.”

Said full elements include free new monthly Contracts and additional weapons and powers, which obviously need an internet connection so you can download them; also, quite obviously, you will need an internet connection to download a new episode of the game, as and when it becomes available.

Thankfully, no such requirement for the final game will exist.

Hitman launches on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC this March. It will continue to get updated with new content and episodes throughout the year. The beta for the game will be made available exclusively on the PlayStation 4 on February 12, with PC players getting it on February 19.
