The third episode in IO Interactive and Square Enix’s reboot of Hitman will be titled Marrakesh, and it will be launching next Monday, on May 31, IO Interactive announced today. This actually pegs the episode’s release date far closer than what most people may have expected- but on the other hand, it is also good news for everyone who’s already seen everything that Episode 2, Sapienza, has to offer.
Marrakesh is going to be different than any of the other locations that have appeared in Hitman so far- unlike Sapienza, which is a fictitious coastal Italian town, and Paris, which is a dense, bustling urban metropolis, Marrakesh is ‘a maze of alleys, a range of souks that line the medina walls and a fully fletched shisha café. Moving upwards, players can enjoy the shade on the signature rooftop terraces of Marrakesh,’ IO Interactive said on the PlayStation Blog.
‘Just beyond the busy marketplace, you will find an architectural marvel in the shape of the Swedish Consulate building. The very embodiment of minimalistic Scandinavian design, a mix of glass, concrete and wood offering a powerful contrast to the blazing heat just outside its walls.’
Of course, with this new location and the all new style of gameplay that it brings with it, will also come loads of new content. Over time, players can expect to see more new Escalation contracts, and of course, Elusive Targets.
Hitman is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
