Square Enix and Eidos Montreal have been working on a Hitman game for iOS and Android powered smart devices, called Hitman: Sniper. Now, a short ‘teaser’ demo for the game has been silently launched to compatible devices in Canada, ahead of what is eventually planned to be a full scale international release of the game.

The teaser consists of only level to play- literally nothing else is available. The demo so far seems to be making good on Square Enix’s promise of dynamic and slightly emergent gameplay, where the world will realistically react to, and be affected by, your actions (for instance, whether or not your kill is detected depends entirely on exactly how you set it up).

This would be the second Hitman game for mobile devices that has been released this year. Earlier this year, we also got Hitman: Go on smartphones and tablets. The Hitman franchise may be in limbo on consoles and PCs, but at least it lives on on mobile devices.
