As it does every month, Valve has released the list of the most-played games on the Steam Deck for March 2023, ranked in order of playtime. Leading the list of the 20 most played Steam Deck games in March is Hogwarts Legacy, followed by Elden Ring and Stardew Valley taking up the top 3 spots.

The list of games features titles both old and new, from older games like Grand Theft Auto 5 and The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition to newer titles like Resident Evil 4 Remake and the relatively recent PC release of Persona 5 Royal. It is also worth noting that the list is populated by quite a few indie roguelike games, like The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Hades, and Dead Cells.

The list of games is likely to see some change as we move into April with new games coming out and older games getting updated to run better on the Steam Deck. Recently, Halo: The Master Chief Collection got an update for the Steam release of the game allowing players on the Steam Deck to take part in multiplayer matchmaking.

A recent report also revealed that, out of the 100 most-played games on Steam, 73 were rated as being at least playable on the Steam Deck. 26 of these games were rated as being verified by Valve for the Steam Deck, while 47 were rated as playable on the platform.
