Homeworld 3

Previously slated for February 2024, Blackbird Interactive’s Homeworld 3 has been delayed to March 8th, 2024. The space-faring real-time strategy title is coming to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, retailing for $59.99. Check out the latest behind-the-scenes trailer below, where the development team discusses the gameplay.

As in previous titles, players control a massive space fleet and battle in 3D space, which allows for attacking from above and below. You’ll venture into hostile fortresses, particle storms and much more, with damage persisting on ships throughout the game. The gameplay includes real-time with pause in addition to classic controls and modern controls, the latter mirroring first-person shooters.

Taking cover in terrain is a huge part of the tactics, with tunnels that can shield you from enemy sensors – perfect for ambushing them. You can even have larger ships acting as barricades for smaller vessels. Stay tuned for more details on Homeworld 3 in the coming months, and check out the system requirements here.
