The power of 4K and especially HDR will be extremely beneficial to video games- and to demonstrate that, Sony decided to show off one of their most impressive and ambitious looking first party games running on the PS4 Pro, to show us the kind of graphical quality we can expect with the specs bump.

Enhanced lighting, better draw distances, and richer colors and color saturation (not to mention a steadier framerate, though that might not have anything to do with the PS4 Pro necessarily) all come together to deliver near photorealistic visual quality. As I said before, we’re probably nearing the point of diminishing visual returns- I understand Scorpio probably outclasses the Pro, but I can’t see how much better its games could look than what the Pro is already delivering.

Check out the video for Horizon: Zero Dawn. The game launches in February 2017, exclusively for the PlayStation 4, with PlayStation 4 Pro enhancements.
