Horizon Zero Dawn Is Coming to PC on August 7; System Requirements Revealed

Guerrilla's open world action RPG launches on PC in a little over a month.

Sony have confirmed in March that Guerrilla Games’ 2017 open world action RPG Horizon Zero Dawn would be releasing for PC this Summer, and they have now confirmed its exact release date. Horizon Zero Dawn – Complete Edition will be available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on August 7. As confirmed before, it will also include the Frozen Wilds expansion.

They have also released a new trailer that highlights the features that are being added to the game. On top of ultra-wide support, unlocked frame rates, and dynamic foliage, the game will also offer a variety of technical options for customization, including field of view, V-Sync, a frame rate cap slider, and a great deal more. The trailer also mentions improved reflections and what looks like pretty extensive controller remapping. Additionally, the’s system requirements have also been revealed. Check them out below.

Horizon Zero Dawn is currently available on PS4, with just a little over a month left until its PC launch. Meanwhile, the sequel – Horizon Forbidden West – is in development for the PS5.

  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K@3.3GHz or AMD FX 6300@3.5GHz
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 (3 GB) or AMD Radeon R9 290 (4GB)
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 100 GB available space

Recommended Requirements:

  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4770K@3.5GHz or Ryzen 5 1500X@3.5GHz
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 580 (8GB)
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 100 GB available space
