Early access for Hyper Light Breaker goes live in the coming hours, but what can players look forward to after? Following two launch trailers outlining the playable characters and bosses (known as Crowns), Heart Machine confirmed its early access roadmap would be revealed “in the coming weeks.”
It will outline the release date for the first big content update, which adds Crow as a new playable character. Plans for future updates include new features, additional Breakers and Crowns, secrets, story content, gear, and gameplay improvements. These will arrive through patches and “periodic major updates.”
The team is excited overall and will collect feedback from the community to “balance the experience and bring Breaker to its full potential before it enters 1.0 launch.” The plan is to remain in early access for a year, though that could change.
Hyper Light Breaker’s early access content includes three characters and two Crowns. Players can explore the Overgrowth (with or without hoverboards), collect materials to upgrade their base, unlock new outfits, and partake in a three-player co-op. Head here to check out some more gameplay.
