Taking a page out of Apex Legends and EA’s book Ubisoft recently announced new free-to-play battle royale shooter Hyper Scape out of nowhere, and recently, the game launched in open beta for everyone on PC. While Hyper Scape is confirmed to be coming to consoles as well, Ubisoft hadn’t given any indication as to when exactly that will happen though.
They have, however, now taken to Twitter to narrow down that window, having confirmed that Hyper Scape will be releasing for Xbox One and PS4 this summer. We’re already well into summer, so console players won’t have to wait for than a few weeks before being able to go hands-on with the game.
Given the fact that next-gen consoles launch later this year, it’s likely that Hyper Scape will eventually release for them as well, but that, of course, isn’t something Ubisoft have said anything about yet. Yesterday, Ubisoft released a new cinematic trailer for Hyper Scape, detailing its setting and central narrative premise. Make sure to check it out through here.
