Hyrule Warriors Adds Agitha AKA The Most Annoying New Zelda Character

Plus she fights with a lame umbrella.

When you have Omega Force (Dynasty Warriors) and Team Ninja (Ninja Gaiden) working together with Nintendo for a hack and slash Zelda game like Hyrule Warriors, it’s only a given that they’ll be adding their own characters to the mix. We saw this with the addition of Lana the White Witch and now we have Agitha. Sadly. Check out her character trailer above.

It’s hard to describe what Agitha does but apparently she summons the essences of giant insects like beetles and butterflies to use in battle. She also fights with an umbrella. That’s not the problem. The problem is, she’s every cutesy, annoying, shrill-voiced anime heroine this side of a Key visual novel game. She’s like the anti-Zelda and that’s by no means a complement.

Regardless, what are your thoughts on Agitha? Does she have potential or are we simply judging her too harshly? Let us know in the comments. Hyrule Warriors will be out on the Wii U this September in North America and Europe.
