Hyrule Warriors Character Trailer Showcases Zelda’s Combat Effectiveness

Don't mess with Hyrulean royalty.

Tecmo Koei’s Hyrule Warriors may not be your “typical” Zelda experience but for a game that aims to combine Dynasty Warriors’ crowd-brawling hack and slash mechanics with Nintendo’s fame franchise, it’s still a fun diversion. You’ll have a number of characters to slaughter hapless mobs with, including the Princess of Hyrule herself Zelda. Check out her moves above.

Zelda uses a fencing style similar to that of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess along with Light Arrows and various spells. What would happen if all those enemies actually, you know, attacked Zelda at once? Let’s not talk about that and just appreciate the pretty pyrotechnics, yes?

Hyrule Warriors will be releasing in Japan on August 14th for the Wii U with a European release on September 19th and a North America launch on September 26th. Are you looking forward to the game and which player are you most interested in? Let us know in the comments.
