Hyrule Warriors Trailer Showcases Link’s Power Gloves

Nemean Cestus, eat your heart out.

Nintendo has released a new trailer for the upcoming hack and slash action adventure Hyrule Warriors, which showcases Link using the understated but immensely useful Power Gloves in combat. If you’ll remember correctly, the Power Gloves allowed Link to lift various heavy stones and objects in the Zelda universe. However, in Hyrule Warriors, they’re just another tool for the Hero of Time to utterly punish the opposition.

The Power Gloves are used in conjunction with an over-sized ball and chain that lays waste to foes with each swing. They can also be used for normal punching and you can pick up just about anything to chug at enemies, including some of the larger foes in the horde. Our personal favourite is Link digging up an enormous monolith and swinging it at his enemies before tossing it down.

Hyrule Warriors will be out this September for North America and Europe on the Wii U. Are you looking forward to it? Let us know in the comments.
