While the recent Xbox Developer Direct 2024 was headlined by MachineGames showcasing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle for the first time, eagle-eyed viewers have spotted potential evidence in the showcase pointing to a new Quake game.

As part of the behind-the-scenes footage in the Indiana Jones and the Great Circle showcase, a whiteboard at the MachineGames offices seem to feature a mention of Quake 6 above a logo of the Quake franchise. The rest of the contents of the whiteboard seem to revolve more around puzzle designs, likely from the upcoming Indiana Jones title.

It is worth noting that, even though the words Quake 6 were spotted, this doesn’t necessarily mean that a Quake sequel is currently in the works. The presence of the game’s name on the whiteboard could mean anything, ranging from a harmless Easter egg to gauge player interest, to something that might be under serious internal discussion or development.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a first-person action/adventure title, and is slated for release on PC and Xbox Series X/S sometime this year.
