Assault Android Cactus:
There are plenty of twin stick shooters out there. Take Halo Spartan Assault for example. Based on a simple twin stick shooting approach, it managed to both tie into Halo 4 and provide a competent shooting experience. Witch Beam’s Assault Android Cactus may seem no different from the pack. But with a release for PS4 and support for up to four players, not to mention some crazy action and an interesting art style, it warrants our attention. Did we mention lots of shooting? Its certainly worth checking out when it releases later this year.
Closing words:
Indie games have turned into a powerhouse within the industry, with most of these companies cropping up overnight and being manned by no more than a few employees and dreamers, it appears that they’ve found a way to harness all this creative power. Combined with services like Kickstarter, we have the privilege of not only seeing people’s dreams and aspirations come true, but to help contribute to them and to help buy a piece of their dream.
Many of us can’t code, most of us just love games and we want to see these ideas flourish. These indie games are making it big because they are being supported by us. No longer does a game have to go through multi-million dollar developers or production companies that are only looking to increase their bottom line. We can all help make gaming what we want it to be by supporting these games and their developers, whether it be through purchase, donation or simply turning a friend onto a title you think they will love and are missing out on. Let’s show these games, and many more the support that they so rightly deserve.
