Earlier today, some brand new screenshots of Infamous: Second Son were released, detailing some of the upcoming game play of Sucker punch Productions’ newest installment in the Sony-exclusive Infamous series.
A PS4 exclusive title, Infamous: Second Son is set to release in April of 2014 – a disappointing date, as the fan favorite title was originally slated to be part of the initial PS4 launch catalogue.
Second Son, the third installment of the Infamous series, is to be set seven years after the events at the end of Infamous 2. Reports are that the game play will be similar to that of the previous Infamous games, with a third person shooter perspective and an open world environment. Additionally, the utilization of parkour will return as an important element in both movement and combat.
In addition to the upcoming release, the Infamous series has spawned a non-cannon downloadable game, a comic book series, and as of 2009 there have been talks of an Infamous script being penned in Hollywood.
