DriveClub

All of a sudden there is a renewed interesting in DriveClub, the upcoming racer from Evolution Studios. The developers revealed their awesome weather system in DriveClub which honestly deserves to be called next-gen but it seems we will see more of that in the coming weeks and months.

Industry insider Tidux has teased that the game even looks better with snow and ice. “Did you think the rain looked awesome in #driveclub wait until you get to see snow/ice , and when it’s melting!,” he tweeted. As usual any insider information should be taken with a grain of salt but Tidux has been right in the past regarding PS4 firmware updates and the Uncharted 4 E3 2014 teaser.

On a related note, Fred Dutton who is the SCEE Blog Manager has revealed that a lot of gameplay footage will be released before the game’s launch but there are no plans to provide a download for uncompressed 1080p footage of the game. “No immediate plans for that, but we’ll have lots more great footage coming your way over the next few months,” he said in the comments section of the PS Blog.

Fred also revealed that they are working on the list of all the supported wheels and will confirm once they have all the details. In case you are wondering what engine DriveClub is running on, Jamie Brayshaw from Evolution Studios has confirmed that they are using their own custom engine for the same.

DriveClub releases this October exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
