The unannounced multiplayer title will be the first Insomniac title to feature multiplayer since Fuse, which released in 2013.

Insomniac Games is one of the hardest working studios in the industry, releasing 4 games since 2019: VR title StormlandStrangelets, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and most recently, Ratchet and Clank: A Rift Apart. Apparently, however, Insomniac’s incredible need to create more video games is not satisfied, because they’re now hiring for their next project: a multi-player title.

The news comes from Insomniac’s Twitter account, which posted the following message: “Insomniac is hiring! We have five new job openings for a multiplayer project. Come join us and be part of the #PlayStationStudiosFamily as we work on exciting things!”

More specifically, Insomniac is looking for a creative director, systems designer (multiplayer), story lead, art director, and VFX artist. The listings are pretty vague, but the multiplayer role specifically cites overseeing “aspects of multiplayer features, mechanics, systems design, and more.”

Insomniac isn’t really known for its multiplayer titles. In fact, the last one the developer released was Fuse all the way back in 2013, nearly a decade ago. Before that, the studio worked on multiplayer titles Rachet and Clank: All 4 One and the Resistance series. They’re probably a little rusty on that front, which explains why they’re hiring.
