Uncharted 4 A Thief's End Box Art

Everyone’s eagerly anticipating Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, the fourth (and allegedly final) entry in their swashbuckling action adventure game series, with an ominous title that doesn’t exactly bode well for the protagonist. The game still promises to have the wit, humor, and banter that have been so iconic throughout the other games in the series, but it also is supposed to have a much darker tone- and that may just be reflected in the game’s final box art, if the rumors are true.

What you are seeing above is a picture that may actually be the boxart for the game- this was spotted by DualShockers, when they realized that in the new batch of screenshots and assets released for Uncharted 4 by Sony, this file in particular was labeled ‘UC4 Pack Art Final.’ Which, I don’t know, there isn’t much room there for debate, exactly.

It’s an image that Sony has used for all of the game’s marketing so far, so going back to it makes sense for them (and it isn’t exactly anything new for us at this point), but it is still interesting to see that this art just looks more… grim… somehow than the previous ones have.
