It Takes Two

Hazelight Studios – the development team behind acclaimed co-op games It Takes Two and A Way Out – is seemingly gearing up to announce its next game sometime later this year. In commemoration of its upcoming 10th anniversary in November, Hazelight Studios briefly touched on its next game in a post on Twitter, writing, “We’ve got new (real good) stuff cooking that we’ll talk more about later this year.”

Hazelight Studios has said next to nothing about its next project since It Takes Two’s launch in 2021. Game director and studio founder Josef Fares said in an interview shortly afterward that people would be “blown away” by the developer’s next game on a conceptual level, but little else is known about the project beyond that. That said, given Hazelight’s pedigree and the success it has enjoyed with both A Way Out and It Takes Two, we can probably assume that its next game will also be a co-op experience.

Hazelight Studios recently announced that It Takes Two had sold over 16 million units worldwide, and played by over 30 million players across all platforms.
