John Carmack talks about Doom 4, Rage 2 and a possible Quake title

John Carmack, the legend behind games like Doom, Quake, Wolfenstein and more recently, Rage, has given some details on what id Software is currently working on and what the development team’s plans for the future are. He’s mentioned Rage 2, a possible new Quake game and of course, Doom 4.

“The next couple years are all about Doom 4,” he said while talking in an interview. “Hopefully Rage will be a success and we can do a Rage 2.”

When asked about a possible Quake title, he said: “We are thinking about it, and doing a bit of planning, but there isn’t an official project rolling.”

Well, something’s better than nothing, I guess. At least they’re talking about it.
