That's with "no repetition or filler" according to the man himself.

We still don’t have a release date for Braid creator Jonathan Blow’s next big game The Witness but there have been bits of information released over the past year regarding the same. Blow took to Twitter recently and spoke about a recent tester – who had never played The Witness before – averaging about 63 hours of play time while discovering roughly 97 percent of the game.

According to Blow, “I would expect the average time of 100%ing the game to be over 70 hours. This is in a game with no repetition or filler…everything you solve is different and has its own reason for being there.”

This means the game has “14 times as much stuff to do as Braid” but Blow clarified that getting to the end doesn’t take nearly as long. “If you are not a completionist, you can get to the end in much less time; it’s just that there’s tons of optional stuff.”

The Witness is currently in development for PS4 and PC.
