Journey developer thatgamecompany’s beautiful adventure title Sky: Children of the Light launched on iOS and Android devices last year, but those waiting to play the game on consoles have been left starved for news for a while now. The developers themselves haven’t said much about a possible console version for the game, or when it might launch- until now.

Speaking recently with MCV UK, thatgamecompany co-founder and Sky: Children of the Light creative director Jenova Chen suggested that the game would be launching on all current-gen platforms in the future, and that it would support cross-play on every single system.

“Our game [Sky: Children of the Light] runs on iPad, on PC, it will run on console in the future,” Chen said. “In the future, it’s going to cross all platforms. And whether you have PlayStation or Switch we will support crossplay.”

Chen didn’t mention a broad release window during which we can expect Sky: Children of the Light’s launch on the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, but hey- at least we know it’s coming on all three. On top of that, it’s good to know that the game will support cross-play across all platforms, especially since the social elements are a pretty important part of the game.
