Avalanche’s Just Cause 3 will be receiving its first paid expansion Sky Fortress on March 8th for Expansion Pass holders but before that, the developer will be releasing a patch today to significantly improve performance.

The patch will reduce initial loading time and loading screens in-game by 20 to 50 percent and also fixes memory leaks that result in crashes. You’ll see a reduced number of crashes overall along with improved streaming for the game world and better performance optimizations when it comes to hitches and stuttering that may occur. A DLC system will also be implemented to prepare the base release for the Air, Land and Sea DLC packs.

Sky Fortress is only the first major DLC to arrive for Just Cause 3. Two more packs will be due by Summer 2016 end. The Sky Fortress DLC will also be available for non-Expansion Pass holders on March 15th for $12. What are your thoughts on the new patch? Let us know in the comments.
