Kena Bridge of Spirits

Ember Lab’s acclaimed action-adventure title Kena: Bridge of Spirits is coming to Steam on September 27th after being exclusive to the Epic Games Store. In addition, it’s receiving a free Anniversary Update which adds New Game+, Charmstones, new outfits for Kena, Spirit Guide Trials and new accessibility features. Check out the announcement trailer below, courtesy of IGN.

New Game+, as the name implies, allows players to carry over progress into a new playthrough and engage in new combat scenarios. Upgrades, abilities, Rot and outfits will all carry over. In addition to new abilities, players can also earn Charmstones, which provide “adjustments” to combat. Photo Mode is also getting some enhanced options, like new lighting types, changing between outfits and more.

The Spirit Guide Trials provide various challenges, namely Obstacle Courses, Boss Reflects and Wave Defenses, which are replayable. Completing these unlocks new outfits for Kena, inspired by people encountered throughout the story. You can also earn some unique Charmstones and alternate colors by completing bonus objectives in the trials. Deluxe Edition owners can also avail of “Shadow”, a new exclusive outfit.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is available for PS4, PS5, and PC. Check out our review here and stay tuned for more details on the Anniversary Update in the coming weeks.
