Killing Floor 3

After a sudden delay following feedback to its closed test, Tripwire Interactive has announced that Killing Floor 3 will launch on July 24th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.

In a press release, creative director Bryan Wynia said, “We’ve dedicated the additional development time to responding to the community’s feedback, ensuring the next chapter in the much-loved cult action/horror franchise lives up to our shared vision.

“The support from our fans has been incredible, and with the new July 24 release date in sight, we’re thrilled to bring that vision to players not just at launch but through the continued support of new features and content that is a hallmark of our studio.”

Set in 2091, Killing Floor 3 sees players joining Nightfall and mounting resistance against Horzine and its army of Zeds. Entering a mission with up to five others, you complete objectives and survive against waves of Zeds (including powerful bosses). There are six playable characters, each with unique abilities/skill trees and numerous weapon types, from assault rifles to flamethrowers.

You can craft attachments to modify and improve your arsenal with materials from slain Zeds. Additional difficulties are also available for those seeking a tougher challenge.

As for improvements made after feedback, Zeds have new attacks, like the Bloat blocking frontal headshots and retaliating with melee strikes. Shooting heads may also not be the best solution since they can wander around manically. Stay tuned for more details and updates on improvements.
