kinect for windows v2

Microsoft is about to launch an upgraded version of Kinect for Windows, and with its launch drawing closer, they’ve decided to reveal a few images of the hardware itself, talking about what it looks like and what it does.

The sensor itself looks exactly the same as the Xbox One version of Kinect with one exception- the Xbox logo on the power button has been removed, to be replaced by an “understated” power logo. Also, the top of the sensor now says “Kinect.”

Microsoft then go on to describe the power adapter’s functions. In excruciating detail. “The power supply does just what its name implies,” the post reads. “It supplies all the power the sensor requires to operate.”

Okay then. We’ve posted the two images below, so you can take a look at them. You know, if you want to.

Will you be purchasing this new motion sensor for your PC? Tell us in your comments.

Also tell us how you plan on using the power adapter.
