Kinect Sports Rivals: Rare Talks About “From Science to Experience”

How will the new Kinect sensor benefit the upcoming sports title?

Rare has released some new screenshots and a trailer for the upcoming Kinect Sports Rivals, which will be releasing for Xbox One in Spring 2014. The developer recently talked about the benefits of Kinect, stating that it allows for capturing the likeness of a champion besides allowing for big sporting events against friends and the entire world. Precision is noted to be important, which will play into the new Kinect’s ability to detect more nuanced movements.

Kinect Sports Rivals will also feature online tourneys, rivalries and a “reimagined” take on sports. The title will also take advantage of the Xbox One Cloud to craft an ever-ready and evolving series of rivals. Essentially, it’s you against the world. Good thing it’s just a game, right?

Though slated to be a launch title, Kinect Sports Rivals was delayed to make time for Rare to further polish the title. Stay tuned for more details.
