Square Enix’s Tai Yasue is working on Kingdom Hearts 3 and shared some interesting new info on the same. He spoke about the release of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 and how the release dates were very deliberate (the former came out in 2013 and the latter in 2014). Development is currently cruising along at a good pace though he didn’t promise any solid release date for the game.

So if you think that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be out next year, think again. This is because the game represents a fundamental shift from the current games which necessitates extensive research. This includes whatever new Disney worlds players will explore year. Thankfully, whatever ideas and content have been implemented are just fine thus far.

It seems that Kingdom Hearts 3 will finish up the current on-going Dark Seeker Chronicles story. It’s currently in development for PS4 and Xbox One – are you looking forward to it? Let us know in the comments below what you think.
