Nintendo has released a new overview trailer for Kirby and the Forgotten Land, a new 3D platforming adventure starring everyone’s favorite pink puffball. It showcases the set-up for Kirby’s journey as he’s sucked into a mysterious portal along with the Waddle Dees and reaches the Forgotten Land. From there, he must battle the Beast Pack in order to save his friends.

Along the way, Kirby can copy multiple abilities with some new ones like Ranger and Driller added. These abilities can be upgraded in numerous ways, like the Hammer turning into the Toy Hammer which deals more damage. Mouthful Mode has already been detailed and involves taking control of different vehicles (including a rollercoaster car), vending machines, and much more.

As you rescue Waddle Dees, you can expand the Waddle Dee Village and unlock new shops. These will provide benefits for Mouthful Mode, a place to upgrade abilities, a part-time job for Kirby (which can also be played in co-op) and more. There’s also the Coliseum where familiar foes like Meta Knight can be fought. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Kirby game without King Dedede though his role in the story has yet to be confirmed.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is out on March 25th for Nintendo Switch. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
