Ninja Gaiden is all that comes to my mind.

We’ve made it to 2021 and only God knows what this year will hold for us in the end. One can only hope it’s a much bigger improvement over the dumpster fire that became 2020, but who knows, it may even be worse! But despite all that has happened, to some degree things have to move on. One of those things is the continued production and announcement of new games, and Koei Tecmo is claiming they have something waiting for fans.

The publisher is mostly known for the Warriors titles, but have a few other franchises such as the long running Dead or Alive and the acclaimed Nioh RPG series, that will be put on a rest period. Japanese magazine Famitsu published a digital New Year card from the publisher where they tease they will have new game announcements that will make fans go “Finally!” Thanks to Twinfinite for translations on that.

What could that be? Well, the most likely thing that comes to mind for most is a continuation of the Ninja Gaiden series from Team Ninja. We know that studio has several announcements set for this year, and the legendary action series has been on ice for many years now after a disappointing third entry. Of course, it all depends on your definition I suppose, since there is a fan that will be say, “Finally!” to just about anything I imagine. We’ll just have to see what they have in store for us.
