Konami’s latest release, eFootball‘s launch was bombarded with negative reviews, making it one of the worst-reviewed games on Steam. The developer has now taken to Twitter to announce to fans that a new update to the game will be making significant improvements to the experience.

Update v 0.9.1. will be releasing on 28th October across all platforms, and will be focusing on fixing issues that users have reported since launch. Konami also promises to keep updating the game according to user feedback in the future as well, although it seems that fans aren’t genuinely interested in giving the game a second chance.

While Konami’s latest attempt at re-inventing one of its premier franchises, PES, has been largely unsuccessful, reports of a revival of franchises such as Metal Gear and Castlevania have recently been brought to light. A remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 might be in the works, and rumors of a Silent Hill game from Kojima have also been running rampant as of late.
