Latest Lost Planet 3 Trailer Showcases New Environments And Gameplay

Third installment looks to be fixing everything wrong with the second game.

A new trailer for the third installment in Capcom’s survival oriented third person shooter saga has been released. Featuring a monologue which is just a little bit cringe inducing in all its cheese, it still does a good job of showcasing the new environments and gameplay that players can expect themselves to be engaged in come August 27.

The first Lost Planet was originally released as an Xbox 360 exclusive, and it received praise for its unusual take on the genre. The follow up is widely considered to have missed the mark, and it received unanimously negative reviews. The third game looks to be fixing most of the issues that the second (and first) games had, so it will be interesting to see how it turns out.

Lost Planet 3 has been developed by Sprak, and it releases August 27 on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. No Wii U version has been announced. Doubtless, the game will find it challenging at retail, sandwiched as it is between Saints Row and Grand Theft Auto, but we’ll see how it goes.
