Legendary Monsters Return To Pokemon Go For New Event

Another chance to tame the elements for yourself!

Posted By | On 24th, Feb. 2018

While it’s not at the top of the world any longer, Niantic continues to grow and nurture the dedicated base of mobile Pokemon Go trainers who are hunting through the real world for collectable pocket monsters. If you missed out on December’s Groudon or January’s Kyogre raid bosses, they will reappear with Rayquaza until March 5.

Mirroring the three way conflict of this trio from the original Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, all three legendary Pokemon will appear as raid bosses for the duration of the event. In addition to players just getting another chance to catch them, Niantic is also tallying how many of each the community defeats. Whichever one has been taken out the most will decide the reward.

Following the event, from March 5 to March 16, the Pokemon likely to hatch from eggs will be different. Pokemon who are boosted by sunny weather will be preferred if Groudon wins, Rainy if Kyogre wins, and Windy if Rayquaza wins. As hard to find pokemon like Bagon are boosted by wind, that’s likely to be the community favourite.
